Antique Heart Locket
Stamped 9ct Gold Back & Front
Circa 1940s
A classic heart-shaped locket in 9ct gold, marked “back and front”
The locket features a softly contoured profile with subtle engraving detailing and opens to reveal two compartments for miniature keepsakes or photographs.
*The term gold front & back is often used to describe antique gold lockets which have a front back made from gold.
The gold front and back are applied to a base metal frame or sometimes sterling silver.
The supporting frame of the locket and hinge are base metal.
Locket measures approx height 28mm including loop & width 19mm & depth 6mm
