Circa 1880
An exquisite example of late Victorian sentimental jewelry, this genuine circa 1880 bar brooch features a beautifully sculpted bow motif flanked by delicate foliate accents. Finely crafted in warm 15-carat gold, the ribbon is set with shimmering natural seed pearls and accented by an arched gold ribbon trail.
In Victorian symbolism, the "true lover’s knot" and tied bow motifs represented devotion, unity, and romance. A refined, wearable antique treasure that looks equally stunning pinned to a lapel, scarf, blouse collar, or worn as a bridal accessory.
Measures approximately 40.5mm in width and 13mm in height.
