An exquisite original Art Deco statement ring dating to circa 1920, showcasing an extraordinary natural black opal alive with vivid, rolling flashes of neon red, sunset orange, and electric green.
The high-domed cabochon is framed by a delicate, milgrained yellow gold bezel and encircled by a scalloped halo of approxiamtely 1.50 carats of natural old-cut diamonds. Finished with finely detailed diamond-set shoulders and crafted in classic period 18ct gold and platinum, this piece exemplifies the master craftsmanship of the 1920s.
The face of the ring measures approximately 17.9mm in height and 16.6mm in width.
The opal measures approximately 12.6mm in height and 11mm in width.
