An exquisite, versatile staple for any antique jewelry collection, this original Edwardian long guard (or muff) chain is crafted in solid 9ct yellow gold.
Rather than a standard chain, this piece features a rare and tactile fancy link design: alternating square box links paired with faceted round belcher links. The faceted facets catch and disperse the light with subtle brilliance as you move, giving the chain exceptional texture and dimension.
Fitted at the base with an original working swivel dog clip, it is perfectly suited for showcasing your favorite antique locket, pocket watch, masonic ball, or curated charm cluster. Due to its generous length, it effortlessly wraps two or three times around the neck to create a luxurious layered look.
