Antique Guilloche Enamel Locket

A beautifully crafted and highly distinctive circa 1920s locket, made in solid 15ct gold and showcasing exquisite guilloché enamel work. This piece displays exceptional precision and symmetry, suggesting it was possibly made by a watchmaker, as evidenced by its fine engine-turned detailing and pocket-watch–like construction.
The front features soft blue guilloché enamel, decorated with intricate wave patterns that catch the light beautifully. At the centre sits a delicate seed pearl, framed by elegant gold foliate motifs. Two white enamel rings border the design, creating a crisp contrast against the warm gold and cool enamel tones.
The reverse is plain polished gold, ideal for engraving or enjoying its clean, understated elegance. A particularly charming and unusual feature is the screw-off bail, a functional detail more commonly associated with watchmaking, further supporting the theory of specialist manufacture.
The locket measures approximately 31.3mm in diameter. Including the bail, the height would measure 39.1mm
