Antique 9ct Gold, Authentic Edwardian-era Suffragette Pendant Necklace with Amethyst, Peridot & Seed Pearls
Antique Suffragette Necklace
9ct Yellow Gold Tested
Circa 1910
A beautifully delicate and highly symbolic Edwardian-era suffragette necklace, crafted in 9 carat gold and dating to the early 20th century. This elegant piece reflects the refined femininity and quiet strength associated with the suffrage movement.
The necklace features the classic suffragette colour combination of purple, green, and white—represented here by a natural amethyst drop, vibrant peridot gemstones, and lustrous seed pearls. These colours traditionally symbolised dignity, hope, and purity, making this jewel both historically meaningful and visually enchanting.
The design is graceful and flowing, with fine openwork gold detailing and articulated drops that move beautifully when worn. It is finished with a trace link gold chain and a secure barrel clasp, consistent with the period.
The necklace measures approximately 16 Inches in length, and the chain is 1.2mm in thickness. The pendant drop length is 35mm and is approxiamtely 84mm in width.
All of our items are either Antique, Vintage or Preloved. They are in used condition and may show some signs of age-related wear, light surface scratches or tarnish.
All of our items have been hand-selected by us and carefully checked over by our specialist jeweller.
They are original one-off pieces, so although we may source similar items, we rarely find two identical pieces, making your purchase truly unique. All gemstones are natural stones unless otherwise stated.
