An extraordinary, museum-quality statement piece from the Roaring Twenties. Crafted in solid platinum circa 1920, this versatile convertible jewel functions seamlessly as both a substantial pendant and a brooch.
At the center rests a brilliant, diamond-encrusted five-pointed celestial star, framed by concentric circular halos reminiscent of classic Art Deco "target" motifs. The openwork platinum framework is meticulously detailed with fine milgrain edges, set with old European/transitional cut diamonds and rich, deep royal blue natural sapphires that create an arresting geometric contrast. Measuring an impressive 41.4 mm across, it commands attention whether worn on a lapel, velvet ribbon, or a fine platinum chain.
The pendant measures approximately 41.4mm in diameter and 49.5mm in height when including the bail.
