A captivating piece of history and craftsmanship, this vintage ring from the 1940s embodies the spirit of the Suffragette movement through its specific gemstone choice. Expertly crafted in 18ct white gold, this ring is a beautifully structured statement piece.
The design features a symbolic 'Suffragette' colour palette, where each gem represents a powerful sentiment from the early 20th-century movement for women's voting rights. At its core are two deep, rich violet Natural Amethysts, providing the ('Dignity') anchor. Surrounding them are four sparkling Natural Diamonds ('Purity'), and balancing the cluster are two bright, lively green Natural Peridots ('Hope').
The gems are arranged in a precise, geometric cross cluster, securely held in a distinctive crown-style setting, a popular design of the Art Deco and Retro (1940s) periods, which gives the stones great height and visibility, catching the light beautifully. The entire structure sits proudly on an 18ct white gold band.
The face of the ring measures approximately 14.6mm in height and 15.6mm in width.
