This beautiful antique religious pendant, crafted in the early 20th century, is rich with history, devotion, and fine craftsmanship.
The stunning medal features a raised image of the Madonna, depicted with a veiled head and radiant halo. At her chest is a Sacred Heart, symbolising love, faith, and protection. The central medallion shines in glowing yellow gold, creating a luminous focal point.
Surrounding the image is a halo of calibrated natural sapphires, adding striking contrast and elegance. The scalloped outer border is accented with small natural diamonds set in platinum, reflecting the refined craftsmanship typical of the 1920s Art Deco era.
The reverse of the pendant is beautifully engraved with the words “MANUELA SUSANA” with the date and time 22.VII.1926, 16 H. X.
This inscription suggests that the piece was created to commemorate a significant religious milestone—possibly a baptism, confirmation, or another sacred event—making it a truly personal, heirloom-quality jewel.
