Antique 18ct Gold & Platinum, Edwardian Onyx and Diamond Pendant Necklace

£3,500.00

Antique Onyx & Diamond Pendant

18ct Gold & Platinum Tested

Circa 1910

An elegant and refined Edwardian necklace, embodying the lightness and intricate beauty that define the era. Crafted with an 18ct yellow gold back and a finely detailed platinum front, this piece perfectly captures the sophistication of early 20th-century design.

The pendant features a striking geometric composition, centered around a polished onyx panel that provides a rich, inky contrast to the brilliance of the natural diamonds. At its heart, a delicate diamond is set within the onyx, drawing the eye and adding a subtle sparkle. Above, a graceful line of old-cut diamonds connects the pendant to the chain, enhancing its sense of movement and fluidity.

The openwork platinum setting is adorned with fine milgrain detailing and lace-like filigree, forming a beautifully elongated lozenge shape that feels both airy and architectural—a hallmark of Edwardian craftsmanship.

The necklace measures approxiamtely 19 1/2 inches in length and the chain 1mm in width. The pendant measures approxiamtely 39mm in length and 17mm in width.
