Antique Seal Fob
9ct Yellow Gold Cased
Circa 1900
A delightful and exceptionally charming antique Edwardian wax seal fob charm, masterfully modeled as a sculptural, three-dimensional red squirrel. Perched atop a fluted base while nibbling an acorn, the squirrel features exquisite hand-chased fur and feathering along its bushy tail.
Set into the base is an unengraved oval slice of natural bloodstone. Crafted in 9ct gold cased metal with a warm antique rosy-yellow tone, this playful piece comes fitted with a jump ring at the tail, ready to be worn as a pendant necklace or added to an antique charm bracelet or watch chain.
The fob measures approximately 18mm in height. The fob base measures 12.5mm in height and 11mm in width.
