Antique Silver Locket

This is a generously sized Edwardian silver locket dating to around 1910, displaying the refined craftsmanship and decorative restraint characteristic of the period. The front features a beautifully executed central panel of chased foliate motifs, framed by a textured lattice‑style ground that adds depth and contrast. The outer edges are smooth and polished, giving the piece a balanced interplay between ornament and simplicity.
The bail is similarly decorated, echoing the floral detailing and suggesting the piece was intended as a statement accessory on a substantial chain or ribbon. The reverse is entirely plain and polished, typical of early 20th‑century lockets designed to sit comfortably against clothing while keeping the focus on the front’s ornamentation.
