An impressive oval shell cameo brooch depicting the Three Graces, the classical figures of charm, beauty, and creativity.
The carving is finely executed, showing the trio in flowing drapery, standing together in harmonious pose. The cameo is mounted in a substantial gold frame, plain yet elegant, designed to emphasise the scale and artistry of the carving.
The warm tones of the shell contrast with the lustre of the gold, enhancing the depth and detail of the figures.
The brooch measures approximately 52mm in height and 40mm in width.
