Antique Gold Locket
9ct Gold Back & Front
Circa 1900
An oval 9ct gold back‑and‑front locket, dating to circa 1900, engraved on both sides with crisp late‑Victorian detailing. One side shows two swallows in flight, their long tail feathers and outstretched wings engraved among light foliate branches. The reverse carries a floral spray beneath a blank banner cartouche suitable for initials, framed by a raised decorative border. The locket opens cleanly and retains its original construction, with a warm antique patina and a secure jump ring.
The locket measures approximately 34mm in height, 25mm in width and 6mm in depth

The gold front and back are applied to a base metal frame or sometimes sterling silver.
The supporting frame of the locket and hinge are base metal.
