The pendant centres on an oval‑cut amethyst of rich, velvety purple, framed by finely worked gold scrolls and accented throughout with seed pearls. A pear‑shaped amethyst drop is suspended below, adding graceful movement and elongation to the silhouette. The upper section features a fleur‑de‑lis‑inspired motif set with pearls, creating a balanced, romantic composition typical of turn‑of‑the‑century design. In total, the piece is set with thirty seed pearls, each chosen for uniform lustre and delicacy. The pendant is presented on its original 9ct gold chain, completing a refined and elegant example of Edwardian craftsmanship.
The pendant drop measures approximately 50mm in length and width at widest point approx 24mm. The necklace measures 16 inches in total length, and the chain is 1mm in thickness.
