£695.00

Antique Gold Locket

9ct Gold Back & Front

Circa 1900

An oval 9ct gold back‑and‑front locket, circa 1900, the front decorated with a finely raised Irish harp framed by geometric and foliate engraving. The detailing is crisp, with the harp set against a textured ground that gives strong contrast and period character.

The reverse is engraved with balanced scroll and foliate work, centred by a shield cartouche neatly inscribed with the initials A M. The locket opens to its original interior, retaining frames for photographs or keepsakes. Warm Edwardian gold tones and a well‑executed national‑symbol motif make this a distinctive and wearable piece.

The locket measures approximately 32mm in height, 26mm in width and 6.7mm in depth . Height including loop approximately 40mm

Weight 9g

* The gold chain is sold separately.

*The term gold front & back is often used to describe antique gold lockets which have a front back made from gold.

The gold front and back are applied to a base metal frame or sometimes sterling silver.

The supporting frame of the locket and hinge are base metal.
