Antique Horse Brooch

Circa 1900
A finely modelled late Victorian bar brooch in 15ct yellow gold, featuring a three-dimensional horse in mid-stride. The figure is rendered with naturalistic musculature and harness detail, its dynamic pose evoking motion and strength.
The horizontal bar is plain and slender, allowing the sculptural form to take prominence. Fitted with a pin and C-clasp to the reverse, consistent with turn-of-the-century British manufacture.
The bar of the brooch measures approximately 37mm in length and 14mm at widest point.
Weight 2.5g
