Antique Gold Pearl Enamel Locket

Circa 1880
Victorian locket in gold with black enamel and twelve seed pearls. The circular pendant features a central cross motif set with twelve pearls, arranged symmetrically for visual balance. The front is decorated with horizontal bands of black enamel, creating contrast and depth.
The reverse is also detailed with fine black enamel lines, adding continuity and refinement to the design. A fixed suspension loop is positioned at the top for attachment to a chain. A fine example of mid-to-late 19th century sentimental jewellery, combining mourning symbolism with decorative elegance.
